Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He who does not show mercy to our little ones or recognize the rights of our elders is not one of us.”

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

7033 مسند أحمد مُسْنَدُ الْمُكْثِرِينَ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ من لم يرحم صغيرنا ويعرف حق كبيرنا فليس منا

Ubadah ibn As-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He is not from my nation who does not honor our elders, nor have mercy on our young ones, nor recognize the rights of our scholars.”
