Shaykh Ahmed Saad and Habib Khazim As-Saggaf at the lecture "Protecting the Hearts in Times of Deception" at Masjid Muhajirin this evening. 

Habib Khazim Assegaf reminded people of the Hadith "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands the people are safe". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Shaykh Ahmed Saad gave a naseeha for safety in the times of deception.  
At times of Fitnah, stick to 6 things and you will be safe
1. Be steadfast 
2. Remember Allah frequently 
3. Engage in what is positive. Don’t engage in nonsense 
4. Seek Rahmah for those who have passed away and Rahmah for those who are still alive 
5. Don’t make yourself a reason for the controversy, argumentation and disputation in the Ummah of Rasulullahﷺ. Be merciful towards the Ummah by stopping from adding to it's trouble. If you can't help in reconciling, hold your tongue. 
6. Be patient - With patience, you will achieve what you want. With patience you are delivered to your destination. Be patient. People will criticize you, people will look down on you. People will say all sorts of things. But Allah knows your reality.
