Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, met Abu Dharr and he said, “O Abu Dharr, shall I not show you two qualities which are light on your back and heavier on the scale than others?” Abu Dharr said, “Of course, O Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet said, “You must have good character and observe long periods of silence. By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, no one can behave with deeds more beloved to Allah than these two.”

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَقِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَلا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى خَصْلَتَيْنِ هُمَا أَخَفُّ عَلَى الظَّهْرِ وَأَثْقَلُ فِي الْمِيزَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِمَا قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِحُسْنِ الْخُلُقِ وَطُولِ الصَّمْتِ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا عَمِلَ الْخَلائِقُ عَمَلا أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْهُمَا
