White nationalists worship their idea of the State, just like ISIS. The needs of the State dictate Halal and Haram to them, not Allah and His Prophets.

"What is the difference between your mother and wife???

They both LOVE us
Both SACRIFICE for us
Both make us EAT more than we require
Both make our house into HOME.
Both PRAY for us
Both are ALWAYS there for us
Both LIVE for us
then why do..

We post/say funny jokes about wife and laugh
and always post respectable quote for mother...

The only difference I can see is

One brings you into the world...
and other makes YOU her world..
😊😊 But men always take their wives for granted and often ignore them in important talks, matters, decisions, plannings etc. because they think that they are inefficient to handle them....Dear men it's true that your mother sacrifices to make you become a leader but a wife sacrifices to maintain your leadership.....your mother gets your affection and care throughout her life but a wife gets your full attention only when she is near the end of her life......waiting to get your certification of her soulmate💑........please give her importance in early age of her life so that she can feel that she is not only the princess of her father but also the Queen of her husband......."

"Whoever forbids the study of [the books of the previous generations] to anyone who is fit to study them...is blocking people from the door by which the [Divine] Law summons them to knowledge of God, the door of the theoretical consideration which leads to the truest knowledge of Him. Such an act [represents] extreme ignorance and [indeed] estrangement from God the Exalted."

An Ottoman inscription on the north facade of the Dome of the Rock commemorating a renovation of the mosque by Sultan Süleyman in the 16th century. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (Yavuz Sultan Selim, Sultan Bayezid II, and Fatih Sultan Mehmet II, respectively) are also mentioned.

In the late 11th century, Imam al-Ghazali lived near this spot in the Haram al-Sharif complex in Jerusalem. It was here that he wrote his magnum opus, Iḥya’ ʿUlūm al-Dīn.

Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The world is sweet and green. Verily, Allah will make you successors in order to see how you will behave, so be cautious of the world and be cautious of women. Verily, the first trial of the children of Israel was regarding women.”

"Prophet Muhammad ﷺ once stated that “Seeking knowledge is mandatory for all Muslims.” With such a direct command to go out and seek knowledge, Muslims have placed huge emphasis on the educational system in order to fulfill this obligation placed on them by the Prophet ﷺ.

Throughout Islamic history, education was a point of pride and a field Muslims have always excelled in. Muslims built great libraries and learning centers in places such as Baghdad, Cordoba, and Cairo."

We shouldn't teach gender stereotypes or gender roles, we should teach that we are human beings, to teach decency, sympathy, do action when we see something wrong. We should scold only when they misbehave or went over the top. We should try recognising and accepting the uniqueness of every children, unless they misbehave or went over the top, as stated

The Madrasa Yusufiyya in Granada, Spain. Founded in 1349 by the Nasrid emir of Granada Yusuf I, it served as the city's main theological school until after the city's conquest in 1492. In 1499, the Catholic policy of harassment of Muslims in Granada culminated in the closure of the school and the burning of its books.

Today the prayer area (musalla) of the madrasa remains almost entirely intact, and various verses from the Qur'an, supplications, and the Granadan motto "There is no victor besides Allah" adorn its walls.

Kita terlampau sibuk persiapkan anak perempuan dengan ilmu pertahankan diri, tutup aurat, jaga pergaulan sampai tak ingat nak ajar anak lelaki jangan sentuh jangan tenung anak perempuan orang sembarangan.

Perasan tak perempuan sentiasa diberi tunjuk ajar macam mana nak lalui zaman remaja (akil baligh) mereka supaya tak mengandung whatsoever? Perasan tak lelaki kena deal sendiri sepanjang proses akil baligh mereka dan tak ada yang approach?

Kita rasa bela anak perempuan seorang lagi susah dari jaga lembu sekandang. Kerana tak terdidiknya kaum lelaki lah kaum perempuan tertindas. Kerana tak terdidiknya orang lelaki lah orang perempuan automatik berdikari.

Wahai ibu wahai bapa.

Medieval Muslim scientists commonly wrote on a diverse range of subjects. Many dabbled in traditional Islamic theology and jurisprudence as well. Ibn al-Haytham (d. 1040) pioneered the scientific method but also wrote on scholastic theology.

Regarding the intersection of the two, he stated: "Finding the truth is difficult, and the road to it is rough. For the truths are plunged in obscurity...God, however, has not preserved the scientist from error and has not safeguarded science from shortcomings and faults. If this had been the case, scientists would not have disagreed upon any point of science."

Today, Joseph Schooling won a gold medal for a swimming relay in Olympics in Rio 2016. If his parents didnt allow him, not only we would not have won a medal, he would not be part in Rio Olympics. So, parents, let your children do what they want to do, as long as it is not illegal, can cause bad effects to the society in the future...

Every time in the Olympic Games we see Muslim players refuse to shake hands with Israeli athletes during the games. I am not sure if this is done because of a religious or a political reason?
In Islam we are asked to respond with better manner when someone greets us, as Allah said in the Quran: (And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with one better than it or [at least] return it [in a like manner]. Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things, an Accountant.) 4:86
I am aware of the different opinions between the scholars regarding initiating Salam by saying Alsalam Alikum, but the vast majority said its allowed to respond to their salam and the strongest opinion is that you can initiate it too. However, I am not aware that any one said its not allowed to great them with other than Alsalam !
We all know in these events it's usually a universal greetings like hi or hello!
If it's a political move, I would say it's a poor one because it is bad publicity for Islam and Muslims, and it will not serve any cause in my opinion. So what are your thoughts?

We should teach children about brotherly love, inclusiveness, out of all other things we teach them, but not judgement and to look down on others. Children who are less-than-normal will be marginalised if we do otherwise, and that is the last thing anyone will want

Pre-diaspora Arabic: Dialects, statistics and historical reconstruction

Jonathan Owens: "Arabic dialects, the native spoken Arabic of about 250 million people, are spread over an immense, contiguous geographical area from Iran to Lake Chad, from Morocco to Yemen. Corresponding to this geographical spread is considerable linguistic diversity. An explanation for this diversity has proved elusive. The existence of variants found either in the modern dialects or in the Classical literature (or both), which are not self-evidently derivable from a normalized Classical Arabic (largely standardized by the ninth century), argues for a more diverse set of inputs into the Arabic which spread outwards from the Arabian Peninsula beginning in the seventh century. I elucidate this problem by comparing four varieties of Arabic located in widely separated areas and settled at different times. ... I conclude that the Arabic which preceded the Arabic diaspora of the seventh century was considerably more diverse than interpretations of the history of Arabic traditionally allow for."

Banned from working, asylum seekers are building Japan's roads and sewers

http://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/japan-kurds/

"Mazlum Balibay paves Japan’s roads, digs its sewers and lays its water pipes – all for a country that doesn’t want him. Balibay, 24, is a Kurdish asylum seeker who fled to Japan more than eight years ago after he said his family was persecuted by Turkish security forces who tortured his father. He has since been on provisional release from immigration detention, which means he is barred from working while the immigration authorities consider his application for asylum and could be detained again at any time. But the ban hasn’t stopped Balibay from providing the muscle on a slew of public works projects funded by a government that refers to people like him as 'undesirable.'"

Remembering Alixa Naff: “The Mother” of Arab American Studies

http://www.aaiusa.org/remembering-alixa-naff-the-mother-of-arab-american-studies

From 2013: "Alixa Naff, considered “the mother” of Arab American Studies, established the Faris and Yamna Naff Arab American Collection at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. In the summer of 1962, she traveled the United States in a blue Volkswagen beetle, known as “the camel,” conducting oral interviews with the first generations of Arab American immigrants and collecting their photographs and artifacts. This growing collection, donated to the Smithsonian in 1984 but maintained and supplemented by Naff for years afterward, offers an invaluable resource for those attempting to understand and communicate Arab American history."

Some may fear it, while others may crave it. In a hypersexual world, Muslims have shun the topic of sexuality as taboo. As a result, both men and women confuse high sexual drives as contradicting religiosity, further frustrating single Muslims and adding stress to marriages.

Don't neglect Allah in your youth / younger times

Ibn kathir said:

"The one whom neglects Allah in his youth, Allah will neglect him in his prime"

[Al-bidayah 12/80]

Sometimes silence is the best response

Women should be more involved in public life and politics. The female perspective provides an important counter-balance to the excesses of male pride. The Prophet ﷺ would often seek the advice of women on public affairs.

At the same time, I believe it is unfair to judge a woman by her ability or inability to do what men have traditionally done. Many stay-at-home Moms have contributed much more to better the world than a lot of our CEOs.

Let's have everyone find their calling and their role, according to their talents and gifts and aspirations, and let's not force people into these rigid boxes that squander their potential.

Politics, rhetorics, beauty (article in Malay)

http://islamlib.com/aksara/buku/politics-rhetorics-beauty/

Sometimes...
those who seem the happiest are the saddest -
those who seem to joke the most, cry the most -
those who are well liked are the loneliest -
those who give the most hope, find it hard to hope -
those who sing the most, experience personal silence the most -
those who give the most, feel they receive little -
those who care the most, go with little care.

No matter what you see on the outside of a person,
realize that life is simply difficult at times,
for everyone -
so treat each person with gentleness and care.

Persian proverbs

http://sites.la.utexas.edu/persian_online_resources/proverbs/

I'm at a restaurant eating and there's a dad sitting with his two girls. I overhear there conversation. The girls are asking about everything and anything. I'm fascinated by their curiosity.

One of the girls looks at me and asks, "Daddy, why is she wearing that?"

Her dad responded with something that made my heart so warm. He said, "There are different religions and cultures and languages. We have to learn about them."

He then proceeded to share a personal experience of when he lives abroad and learned to speak Spanish.

This reminded me of a Harvard research that I was reading about. "Children exposed to racism tend to accept and embrace it as young as age 3, and in just a matter of days."

Moral of the story: This is how you teach love,  acceptance, understanding and respect. It starts from an early age. Kids listen and imitate their parents' views and behaviors.  You are their role model.
