The first coins minted in Muslim Spain in the 700s had the phrase "In Nomine Domini non Deus nisi Deus Solus" (Latin for "In the name of God, There is no god but God) inscribed on them. Such mixing of European and Middle Eastern culture and language was not uncommon in Muslim Spain.
"non = no, deus = god, nisi = except, Deus Solus = Lone God, i.e. Allah. In nomine = in name, Domini = of Lord, i.e. Allah."
