Aisha reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the believers with the most complete faith are those with the most excellent character and who are most kind to their families.”

Ibn Al-Qayyim said, “A mark of tranquility and dignity is kindness with the creation. It is dealing with them in a way he would love to be treated kindly by them, and not treating them harshly, strictly, or roughly, for that would alienate them from him, estrange them, and corrupt his heart and his relationship with Allah.”

قال ابن القيم رحمه الله مُلَاطَفَةُ الْخَلْقِ وَهِيَ مُعَامَلَتُهُمْ بِمَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُعَامِلُوهُ بِهِ مِنَ اللُّطْفِ وَلَا يُعَامِلُهُمْ بِالْعُنْفِ وَالشِّدَّةِ وَالْغِلْظَةِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُنَفِّرُهُمْ عَنْهُ وَيُغْرِيهِمْ بِهِ وَيُفْسِدُ عَلَيْهِ قَلْبَهُ وَحَالَهُ مَعَ اللَّهِ
